Overseas AST has unrivalled expertise in marine works in the UAE. Its first project was to dredge Dubai Creek and, since then, the company has played a major role in re-shaping the coastline. The company maintains its own fleet of specialised vessels and barges. On these pages are featured just a few of the more recent projects.
Ports and Shipyards
Overseas AST was involved in the construction of the yard at Abu Dhabi Ship Building, including the installation of quay walls, piers, a 2000 tonne syncrolift and associated buildings. The project involved pre-cast concrete beams placed on steel tubular marine piles.
Jetties Pontoons and Marinas
Throughout its history, Overseas AST has been involved in numerous projects on Dubai Creek. Recent work on an abra station consisted of marine piling, the fabrication of pontoons and the construction of quay walls.
Many of Overseas AST's in-house capabilities come together for the construction of marine projects.
The building of this private marina in Umm Al Quwain involved sea-bed pile driving, the fabrication of pontoons and jetties and carpentry work for the decking.
Quay Walls, Harbours and Sea Defences
Rock revetment and seawalls constructed as part of the coastal protection and reclamation works in Jumeirah, Dubai.
Coastal development in Dubai's Jumeirah area involved shore protection and rock revetment with associated works including walkways, pre-cast kerbing and safety accessories.

Overseas AST undertakes projects throughout the region. A company barge and pile-driving equipment during the construction of a quay wall and marina in the Sultanate of Oman. The wall was constructed from 30 tonne pre-cast blocks.

Pedestrian bridges with escalators and lifts, designed and constructed by Overseas AST, are being installed on busy roads throughout Dubai.
