THE PROJECT

We are working closely with a Middle East Contractor on one of the largest projects in Abu Dhabi. This exciting and challenging Multi Billion Dollar Project in the UAE capital city of Abu Dhabi is to construct the Cultural District for the region. The Project duration is in excess of 20 years, and will be one of the flagship construction projects in the UAE.
 
THE ROLE
  • To assess all Planning (PA) and Building Licenses (BL) applications against the relevant sustainability development guidelines and the Estidama (sustainability initiatives) Checklist to ensure compliance;
  • To liaise with and assist the Environmental Manager to implement the sustainability development guidelines for the project; 
  • To prepare reports, general correspondence, presentations, contracts and other administration as required; 
  • To attend meetings, workshops and presentations with Developers, Project Managers and Clients to discuss and negotiate compliance with relevant sustainability development guidelines; 
  • To attend meetings, workshops and presentations with relevant approval authorities/departments to discuss and negotiate compliance with relevant sustainability development guidelines; 
  • To assist the DCO in processing PA and BL in a timely matter to ensure desired project timelines are achieved
  • Handle e-mails, telephone calls and other communications to ensure an appropriate and timely response;
  • This job description is not exhaustive and the jobholder may be required to undertake additional rules from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the department.
 
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Minimum 7 years post graduate experience, at least 3 of which related to green building assessments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of green building sustainability initiatives in particularly the technology and its application.
  • Demonstrated experience with large scale developments and innovative green building projects.
  • Knowledge and/or practical application of Abu Dhabi Estidama Programme and UPC permitting process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION– TRAINING
  • Relevant Degree in Environmental Studies or equivalent (Architect, Urban Planner).
  • Certified LEED Green Building practitioner or equivalent (Greenstar, BREAM)
SALARY – BENEFITS
 
Salary in the range of AED 55K per month plus education, flights, medical etc.
