The industry is also involved in the repair, maintenance and refurbishment of all existing buildings, and the infrastructure and services to all new and existing buildings.

The economic downturn which started in 2008 continues to affect the construction industry. However there are still many growth areas in the sector with infrastructure seeing the most significant increase.
