The Role

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Senior HSE Manager will be responsible for providing assistance and advice relating to HSE matters to operational and functional staff at the Company's operating sites and offices.

Your duties will include, but is not limited to:


• Understand the Company's Health & Safety and Environmental Policies, Procedures and statutory requirements as they affect the Company's operations and ensure that the requirements are implemented.
• Provide operational and functional management with advice on the prevention of accidents, ill health, environmental incidents and the practical implementation of the Company's HSE policies.
• Provide operational and functional management with advice for obtaining legal consents, licences and exemptions such as discharge consents, abstraction licences and waste management licences.
• Drive the development of effective Site Environmental plans to manage key risks and ensure that they are appropriate to the scale and nature of environmental risk associated with the project.
• Undertake a programme of HSE audits of operational sites and offices. Participate as requested in "Company" health and safety audits.
• Provide support to the Bid Management team with regards to marketing, tenders and pre-qualification information and client presentations if and when required.
• Assist in the investigation of injuries, environmental incidents, dangerous occurrences and other incidents where appropriate as requested.


• NEBOSH diploma.
• Min. graduated BSc in a Health & Safety related degree.
• Chartered member of IOSH.
• 10+ years' experience in a Health & Safety role.
• A good communicator, able to communicate at all levels across the organisations.
• Good verbal and written communication is a must.
• Be persuasive with the ability to influence.
• Proven leadership skills, as well as demonstrable initiative and drive.
• Be well organised, with the ability to manage a demanding and fast-paced environment.
• Have a strong attention to detail, able to closely monitor processes and practices in order to ensure best practice across the entire organisation.
