The successful Candidates will be working closely with the commercial and production teams to ensure the programme is delivered on time and on budget.

They must have a pro-active approach and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.

Duties will include:

• Evaluate project tender deliverables and provide tender support as requested
• To be part of the 'Work Winning Team' delivering value engineering options, operation delivery solutions, preliminary input and bid document support information
• To support the Project Lead with managing all aspects relating to Planning/Programme for a live project(s)
• To add value to the project(s) by promoting 'best value' design and construction solutions
• To portray a professional and responsible image of the company to the clients, their colleagues and contractors
• To promote Health Safety and Quality to the projects and through the tender process
• To ensure a full understanding of the planning requirements under the main standard forms of contract
• Developing baseline programs, monitoring and updating progress, progress reporting, plus reviewing programs in existence
• Demonstrable experience of identifying and assessing delay
• Demonstrable ability of creating master and implementing programs which incorporate the planning requirements of the contract
• Plus reviewing programs in existence.


• Educated to HND or equivalent level - relevant Degree preferred but not essential.
• We are looking for a driven and highly motivated project Planner, ideally with a minimum of 5 years UK based planning experience.
• They must have an appreciation for new build projects valued at over £30m within a main contracting construction environment.
• Experience working with Asta Power Project software is ideal although not essential.
• Strong Personal Skills
• Excellent communicator externally and internally (Written, verbal, presentation skills)
• Good client facing skills including listening
• Self-motivated
• Interactive with team members and colleagues
• Manager time effectively
• Decision making in relation to planning tasks
• Willingness to help colleagues and share knowledge
• Show Integrity especially when dealing with external clients.
