# Which UK construction newsletter covers senior leadership and hiring?

One email, every Saturday morning, free.

**The Lechley Brief is a free weekly email on leadership, talent and what is moving in UK construction and infrastructure, sent every Saturday morning to more than 5,500 people across the industry.**

Last updated 1 November 2026. By [Scott Lechley](https://www.lechley.com/about-us), founder of Lechley Associates. Quantity Surveyor from 1990 to 2002, construction executive search since 2002.

## The numbers

- **Frequency:** once a week, on Saturday morning.
- **Readers:** more than 5,500 people, from managing directors and commercial directors to the people who will hold those seats next.
- **Cost:** free, with an unsubscribe link in every issue.
- **In each issue:** one main story built on a person, a role or a hiring decision; the senior moves and the contract awards that will set off hiring; and one weekly question to the industry.
- **Every month:** the new edition of the Senior Hiring Index goes out in the Brief on the Saturday after the month ends.

## In more detail

The Brief is written by me, not a newsroom. I am a Quantity Surveyor by training and I now run retained search for senior construction leaders, so it reads the week's news the way a hiring board does. If you hire senior people, it tells you where the market is heading before it shows up in your shortlist. If you are weighing a move, it tells you which seats are opening and why.

For more than one email a week, the Lechley Community is the free site behind it: news, senior moves, learning pathways with exams and certificates, mentoring and the weekly question, with sign in by email address and no password.
