We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Site Engineering Apprentice to join our site management team. This role involves supporting the Site Engineers in various tasks, including security, health and safety, and the organisation and supervision of materials and personnel. The successful candidate will play an active role in the construction project from a practical perspective.
Key Responsibilities

Assist Site Engineers in planning and organising daily work, including:

Reading construction drawings

Keeping accurate records
-
Following administrative procedures
-
Monitoring the quality of work delivered by sub-contractors

Support the preparation of designs, reports, specifications, and other documentation required for successful construction projects.

Develop skills in using levelling equipment and measuring devices, as well as computer-based systems such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Help ensure exemplary standards of health and safety on-site and compliance with environmental and sustainability standards.
What you will be studying
-
You will work towards a Level 4 Civil Engineering Senior Technician Apprenticeship through a combination of college coursework and practical work-based experience.
Academic Requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades 9-4 (A*-C), including Maths at Grade 9-6 (A-B), English, and Science or equivalent qualifications.
Skills and Qualities Required

Strong numeracy skills with the ability to learn sophisticated design/construction IT packages.

Ability to read and understand construction drawings (training will be provided).

Proficient in writing clear and precise reports, with the capability to convey complex information simply to a diverse audience.

Ability to work effectively in a multi-functional and dynamic team environment, assisting with the smooth running of various projects.
