Position Overview
The Design Manager will lead and oversee the design projects within the company, ensuring alignment with business goals and the highest standards of design excellence. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive the design process from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design team to deliver creative and innovative design solutions.
- Oversee all aspects of the design process, including brainstorming, prototyping, and final execution.
- Collaborate with product management, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure coherence of vision and strategy.
- Develop and maintain design guidelines, best practices, and standards to enhance the quality of design output.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members to foster growth and creativity.
- Analyze design trends and industry standards to create competitive, user-centered designs.
- Present design ideas and concepts to stakeholders, incorporating feedback throughout the design lifecycle.
- Oversee budget management for design projects while ensuring timelines are met.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Proficient in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Figma.
- Strong understanding of design principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of articulating design concepts clearly.
Desired Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a design role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- Demonstrated experience in leading design projects from inception to completion.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design work, illustrating creativity and attention to detail.
- Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
