We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our team, working on-site to ensure the successful commissioning of mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for hands-on commissioning activities, quality management, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform practical, hands-on commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Manage quality control for on-site service and commissioning projects, ensuring adherence to specifications.
  • Review and implement Mechanical Commissioning protocols, including fault-finding and diagnostic procedures.
  • Ensure all project deadlines are achieved through effective planning and execution.
  • Uphold the highest health and safety standards in all commissioning activities.
  • Verify that HVAC and Mechanical services operate in accordance with design criteria and performance requirements.
  • Observe and validate vendor commissioning activities against approved project documentation.
  • Monitor the receipt, review, and compliance of project commissioning documentation to achieve necessary sign-off levels.
  • Manage and execute the commissioning tagging process and procedures.
  • Conduct daily on-site commissioning operations, overseeing all aspects of the process.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, or a Mechanical Trade qualification with relevant training and experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar commissioning role.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes and a strong focus on safety.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to act decisively.
  • Process-driven with a focus on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with other contractors on site.
