Position: Mechanical Project Supervisor

Location: Helsinki, Finland

Salary: €80,000

Overview:

Join a leading engineering firm specialising in comprehensive data centre solutions across Europe. We are seeking a Mechanical Project Supervisor to oversee the mechanical package of our projects in Helsinki. This role involves managing the entire package lifecycle, from initial design to final handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the mechanical package from start to finish, ensuring timely and successful completion.

  • Design and Planning:

    • Conduct high-level design assessments and generate necessary RFIs.

    • Develop comprehensive package overviews and schedules.

    • Prepare equipment lists and manage technical document submissions.

    • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration.

  • Subcontractor Management:

    • Prepare and issue tender documents, respond to RFIs, and evaluate bids.

    • Facilitate the onboarding of subcontractors and develop collaborative schedules.

    • Conduct weekly progress meetings and ensure design finalisation.

  • Construction and Testing:

    • Compile weekly progress reports and manage site safety in collaboration with the Project Manager.

    • Promote a culture of quality, health, safety, and environmental awareness.

    • Oversee project scheduling, cost management, and material deliveries.

  • Commissioning and Handover:

    • Assist in the information handover and support the commissioning team.

    • Finalise financial accounts, complete O&M manuals, and provide necessary training.

    • Ensure all guarantees, warranties, and safety files are in place.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management and large-scale installations.

  • Strong background in mechanical systems design and build.

  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.

  • Experience in managing industrial relations.
