Position Overview
As a Placement Site Engineer, you will work alongside experienced professionals to streamline project costs and mitigate risks while maintaining high standards of quality and adhering to building regulations.Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data, and adherence to prescribed testing, analysis, design, or computation methods.- Support designs, procurement, scheduling, production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of complex equipment.
- Participate in basic layout and field engineering activities.
- Help maintain field logs.
- Assist in the interpretation of designs/drawings for sub-trades installing materials and equipment.
- Present design discrepancies to design consultants for resolution and prepare necessary documentation such as field design change requests.
- Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records, including punch lists describing work items to be completed and sketches of completed work.
- Assist in preparing "as built" drawings as required.
- Support the site superintendent as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a bachelor's degree programme in civil or building engineering.- A full driver's licence is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Service-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
