We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Planner/Manager to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and overseeing project schedules from inception to completion. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop bid programmes to support and complement bid submissions.
- Develop, maintain, and review detailed master construction programmes and project controls procedures for live projects.
- Prepare and present progress reviews to senior management.
- Account management of existing clients, building long-term partnerships.
- Business development activities with new clients.
- Complete responsibility for your project and may assist others in projects as the need arises.
- Liaise with stakeholders to review the progress of projects, supporting risk identification and proactive problem-solving.
- Create and sustain schedules for the pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases, whilst keeping progress reporting up to date.
- Establish project schedule resource requirements.
- Develop and communicate tools for the target completion of project goals.
- Provide performance updates/reports views for the identification of variances and corrective action.
- Act as the Planning representative in Client & Subcontractor meetings.
- Degree in Engineering / Construction Management required.
- 4+ years relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
- Substantial experience across a wide range of engineering projects, preferably data centres, with a good understanding of commercial and contractual matters.
- An appreciation of BIM / digital construction tools and workflows.
- A clear ability for logical thinking and working in an ordered fashion.
- An understanding of programming techniques.
- A sound knowledge of typical production rates.
- The ability to communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in using P6 and an understanding of the planning process.
- The ability to work to defined, often challenging, timescales.
- Experienced in programming software and BIM - Asta Powerproject and Primavera P6 preferred.
