With cutting-edge manufacturing sites in the UK, Europe, and India, and approximately 1,850 dedicated employees, we offer an unparalleled environment for career growth and professional development.

Position Overview
The Pre-Construction Manager will become a vital part of our team, steering the pre-construction stages of major steelwork projects. The role involves orchestrating cross-disciplinary groups to forge innovative solutions, encouraging early contractor involvement, and ensuring all projects are meticulously priced and scoped to align with client aspirations before site work begins.

Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee all pre-construction tasks, including design coordination, project planning, cost estimation, and risk analysis for steelwork projects.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with clients, consultants, and supply chains to provide exceptional service.
  • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals that fulfil project specifications and client requirements.
  • Ensure the highest quality of pre-construction documentation and deliverables, delivered on time.
  • Mobilise internal resources effectively, working closely with bidding teams, engineers, and project managers.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities early and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement by disseminating best practices and lessons learned.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Extensive experience in pre-construction or project management in the construction or steel industry.
  • Deep technical and commercial know-how of structural steelwork, with expertise in managing significant, intricate projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with practical stakeholder management abilities.
  • Competence in analysing technical data, assessing risks, and crafting solid proposals.
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Proficient in IT, especially with project management and design software.
  • Ability to collaborate across various teams within tight deadlines.

Benefits
  • Engage in landmark projects that significantly influence the built environment.
  • Attractive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for career progression within a leading industry organisation.
  • An inclusive and supportive company culture dedicated to ongoing improvement and personal growth.
