We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team, responsible for comprehensive commercial management of complex project portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure and manage critical subcontract packages through comprehensive tender processes- Generate detailed work packages, invitations to tender (ITTs), and accurate budgets from technical documentation
- Prepare and finalise subcontract documentation with precision
- Manage commercial aspects of multiple subcontract packages from initial order through to final account settlement
- Conduct continuous financial monitoring and cost control
- Engage proactively with diverse stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, designers, and internal teams
- Submit contractually compliant commercial documentation
- Develop and negotiate external valuations
- Manage contract variations, omissions, and final account negotiations professionally and efficiently
- Produce regular cost, value, and cash flow reporting
- Resolve potential conflicts constructively
- Mentor and develop junior commercial team members
Requirements
Essential
- Relevant degree qualification- Minimum 6 years' experience in main contracting environment
- Strong technical understanding of building construction processes
- Comprehensive knowledge of measurement methodologies
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Robust budgeting and financial forecasting expertise

- Proficiency in construction software (Buildsoft, CostX)- Data centre project experience
