The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-calibre Section Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Anguilla. This role is pivotal to the successful delivery of an airport expansion and runway extension. You will play a leading role on-site, overseeing critical civil engineering works including demolition, pavement construction, and complex drainage systems.
This is an ideal position for an engineer who enjoys being "boots on the ground," providing technical mentorship to junior staff while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for your section, demonstrating advanced setting-out techniques to the wider team.
  • Operational Oversight: Lead diverse work packages, including the demolition of existing structures, conversion of areas into aircraft aprons (pre-cast concrete), and runway extensions involving significant cut-and-fill operations.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor a small team of Graduate Engineers, fostering their development and ensuring technical accuracy in the field.
  • Project Administration: Manage essential site documentation, including Health & Safety reporting, Quality Assurance monitoring, and the processing of RFIs.
  • Commercial Support: Assist the project management team in pricing and executing specific work packages to ensure the project remains on budget and schedule.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Experience: Between 5 and 8 years of post-graduate experience within the civil engineering sector.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong, "hands-on" technical skills in setting out and general construction engineering.
  • Project Exposure: Previous experience in airside works (runways, aprons, or taxiways) is highly advantageous but not essential.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to work effectively in a developing country environment and manage the unique logistics that come with island-based projects.
What is on Offer
  • A competitive international salary and benefits package.
  • The chance to work on a high-profile, career-defining infrastructure project.
  • A unique opportunity to live and work in a stunning Caribbean location.
