Key Responsibilities:

Develop and update comprehensive programmes in collaboration with the delivery team, supply chain, and stakeholders.

Integrate programme activities with other dependencies within the network logic.

Define activity dependencies, including method statements, permits, and stakeholder requirements.

Apply cost loading to the working programme and provide accurate Earned Value metrics regularly.

Prepare short-term planning schedules and conduct weekly work plan meetings.

Create programme fragments and high-level summaries using Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Monitor programme float paths to identify slippages and critical issues.
-
Report on programme progress in line with contractual requirements.

Assess the impact of change events on schedules.

Provide necessary programme information for contract communications and early warnings.

Ensure compliance with NEC4 contract requirements.

Offer scenario planning support to the project team.

Maintain a tracker for key programme milestones.
-
Communicate relevant programme information effectively to the project team.
-
Analyse subcontractor programmes for acceptance or rejection under NEC4 contracts.

Prepare programme narratives and data for monthly progress reports.
Additional Responsibilities:

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.

Update programmes with input from the delivery team.

Collect site progress data and update programme information.
-
Manage cost loading and earned value using Primavera P6 and other software.

Incorporate validated supply chain programme information.
-
Adjust programme sequences to align with design, procurement, and delivery methodologies.

Provide reports and management information to senior management.

Maintain a documented programme change log.
-
Work within a multi-user Primavera database.

Prepare forward-looking programme fragments using Microsoft Project.

Deputise for the Lead Planner and attend site meetings as needed.
-
Conduct site visits to inform programme development and updates.
-
Liaise with project departments for programme development and updates.
-
Support Package Managers with programme-related tasks.
Safety Responsibilities:

Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring personal and team safety.

Report accidents, incidents, and near misses to the appropriate manager.

Use equipment responsibly and report any defects.
-
Record personal injuries in the accident book.
-
Suggest improvements for workplace safety.
-
Attend health surveillance as required.
-
Set an example of safe behaviour.
Qualifications and Experience:

Experience with a reputable Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.

Proficient in ASTA Powerproject, Primavera, and Microsoft Project.

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
-
Educated to HND/HNC level or equivalent in construction or a related field. Extensive experience may substitute for formal education.

Membership in a relevant professional body is desirable.

Significant experience in planning, cost, and resource loading using relevant software.

Knowledge of NEC4 contracts.

Skilled in using Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint for programme presentations.
