Senior Project Manager - Balance of Plant (BOP)

Location: Suffolk, UK

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team and lead the Balance of Plant (BOP) programme for a major nuclear energy project in Suffolk. This is a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in one of the UK's most ambitious megaprojects, contributing to the nation's clean energy future.

Role Overview

As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of critical systems, structures, and components for multiple buildings and contracts within the BOP area. You will manage a high-performing multi-disciplinary team, ensuring excellence from engineering through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to achieve flawless delivery
- Own budgets, schedules, risk management, and quality assurance
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to navigate complex interfaces seamlessly
- Utilise technical expertise and leadership to ensure the highest standards in execution and compliance

Essential Qualifications and Experience

- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, or a related field
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale, complex projects
- Extensive experience across the project lifecycle, from initial design to commissioning
- Strong commercial expertise, including managing high-value contracts and resolving claims
- Proficiency in risk and quality management within complex, high-stakes environments
- Hands-on expertise with Earned Value tools, CDM Regulations, and quality assurance in regulated environments
- Outstanding communication, organisational, and leadership skills

Desirable Qualifications

- Professional qualifications such as MIMechE, MICE, or APM PPQ
- Experience in the nuclear sector
