We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Manager to join our team, working on two major data centre construction projects in the Helsinki region. These projects, located in Espoo & Kirkkonummi, each represent a 170MW development. As Structural Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of the building envelope and structural work packages across these hyperscale projects.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead a large team and oversee significant aspects of these critical infrastructure developments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the coordination of the building envelope and structural work packages.
* Lead a project team of 20+ including package managers, design managers, engineers and site supervisors.
* Support your team in managing 10+ subcontractors with a combined package value in excess of €100m.
* Oversee contractor’s design elements, ensuring design is completed and relevant approvals are in place before on-site construction.
* Ensure BIM processes are followed by subcontractors.
* Manage, track and develop plans for project costs, budgets, project labour, commissioning procedures and project performance.
* Direct the set up for structural activities, ensuring best practice meeting, reporting documentation, and schedules are implemented from the outset.
* Maintain continuous engagement with key project stakeholders such as the Client and Design Teams to ensure Project performance.
* Oversee ongoing client satisfaction with the project, especially in terms of cost, scope, and timescales.
* Proactively monitor the project's health & safety processes, as well as the team's culture and behaviours.
* Monitor and ensure the Quality targets are achieved and exceeded.
* Ensure change management is handled in accordance with established processes (Cost & Programme).
* The role reports directly to the CSA Lead.
Requirements:
* A degree in a relevant construction or engineering subject.
* Previous experience delivering projects from concept to handover.
* Experience in scheduling, programming, managing subcontractors and sequencing.
* Data centre experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Experience in the delivery of large-scale projects is essential.
* Previous experience in a similar role, delivering CSA elements of a project within a contracting environment is essential.
* Excellent organisational, communication, people and time management skills.
* Proficiency in the use of MS Word & Excel is required.
* The ability to build robust relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
* A flair for multitasking, looking at the bigger picture, and providing excellent attention to detail.
* A proactive, diligent, and forward-thinking approach.
