We are seeking enthusiastic individuals for a Level 4 Civil Engineering Senior Technician Apprenticeship. This role is based on a construction site as part of the site management team, where you will take on responsibilities related to security, health and safety, and the organisation and supervision of materials and personnel. As a Site Engineer, you will mark out the site, ensure designs are implemented correctly, and liaise with clients and subcontractors. This position is ideal for those interested in being actively involved in construction projects from a practical perspective.
Key Responsibilities

: Assist in planning and organising daily work by reading drawings, maintaining records, following administrative procedures, and monitoring the quality of work delivered by subcontractors.

: Help prepare designs, reports, specifications, and other necessary documentation to ensure the successful completion of construction projects.

: Gain proficiency in using levelling equipment, measuring devices, and computer-based systems such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and Building Information Modelling (BIM).

: Support the site team in maintaining exemplary standards of health and safety while ensuring compliance with environmental and sustainability standards.
What you will be studying
You will work towards a Level 4 Civil Engineering Senior Technician Apprenticeship through a combination of college coursework and practical work-based experience.
Academic Requirements

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades 9 - 4 (A* - C), including Maths at Grade 9 - 6 (A - B), English, and Science or equivalent qualifications.
Skills and Attributes

Strong numeracy skills with the ability to learn complex design/construction IT packages.

Capability to read and understand construction drawings (training will be provided).

Proficiency in writing clear and precise reports, conveying complex information simply to diverse audiences.

Additional Requirements

A full UK driving licence is advantageous; candidates should have their test booked before August 2025.
