The Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to play a pivotal role in the delivery of a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel project in Barbados. As the second-in-command to the Project Director, you will be instrumental in driving the execution of this landmark development, ensuring the highest standards of quality and technical excellence are met.
This is a high-visibility leadership role requiring a strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of large-scale, high-end hospitality construction while managing diverse stakeholder interests.

Core Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Act as the primary deputy to the Project Director, providing strategic support in the overarching planning and execution of the construction phase.
  • Technical Coordination: Lead and synchronise multidisciplinary teams, including architects, design consultants, and engineers, to resolve complex technical challenges proactively.
  • Resource & Procurement Management: Oversee the allocation of resources and procurement schedules to ensure all project milestones are achieved without delay.
  • Client Relations: Act as a key point of contact for the client, managing intricate requirements and maintaining a transparent, professional relationship.
  • Performance Monitoring: Conduct rigorous monitoring of project timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks, providing detailed reports on progress and risk mitigation.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to international safety regulations, building codes, and quality control standards across the site.
  • Team Integration: Foster a collaborative environment between various site teams and external partners to ensure total alignment with project objectives.
Experience and Requirements
  • Industry Expertise: Between 12 and 15 years of comprehensive experience in managing large-scale, high-end construction projects. A proven background in luxury hospitality or Grade A commercial office developments is essential.
  • Educational Background: A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Leadership Track Record: Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from inception to completion, delivered on time and within budget.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong aptitude for solving architectural and engineering hurdles through collaboration with design teams.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage demanding client expectations effectively.
  • Adaptability: Proven experience working in fast-paced, international environments where agility and quick decision-making are paramount.
