We are seeking a skilled Marine/Coastal Engineer to lead the design and implementation of marine and coastal projects throughout the Caribbean and North/South America.

Key Responsibilities

- Design marine structures such as breakwaters, seawalls, jetties, and port facilities.
- Conduct studies on coastal processes, including wave modelling and sediment transport analysis.
- Develop solutions for shoreline protection and beach nourishment projects.
- Perform hydrographic and oceanographic surveys.
- Analyse the environmental impact of marine and coastal projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate marine elements into larger infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainable development practices.
- Provide technical support during construction and monitor project performance.
- Contribute to proposal writing and business development initiatives in the marine sector.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) licence or equivalent international qualification.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in marine/coastal engineering projects.
- In-depth knowledge of coastal processes, hydrodynamics, and marine construction techniques.
- Proficiency in specialised software such as MIKE 21, Delft3D, and SWAN.
- Experience with climate change adaptation and resilience strategies for coastal infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; Spanish or French language skills are an advantage.
