Join a leading construction company known for delivering high-quality housing, extra care, and retirement living projects. We are seeking a skilled Planner to enhance our project delivery and commercial management.

Role Overview:

As a Planner, you will oversee planning activities, ensuring successful project delivery from concept through to construction. You will create, monitor, and update project schedules, ensuring compliance with NEC Contract Programme standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying key milestones and critical paths.

  • Collaborate with design and supply chain teams to ensure alignment with project goals.

  • Assist in creating short-term schedules and prepare tender schedules and logistics plans.

  • Regularly update project schedules to meet operational and commercial needs.

  • Provide insights and alternative solutions to project teams and senior management.

  • Generate progress reports and supporting data, such as histograms and production graphs.

  • Identify programme risks and opportunities, advising project teams accordingly.

  • Mentor junior planning staff to enhance their skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in construction or related field preferred.

  • Essential experience in house building and planning, ideally with a main contractor on projects up to £25m.

  • Proficiency in Asta Powerproject; MS Project is advantageous.

  • Experience with NEC and other construction contracts (ICE & JCT).

  • Strong commercial awareness and logical thinking.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
