Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary engineering leader to join our Pre-Operations team as Engineering Programme Manager for a major nuclear energy project. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of clean energy and drive operational readiness for a new nuclear power station.Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the Engineering and Asset Management Strategy- Lead and guide a multi-disciplinary team to deliver key programmes
- Collaborate with industry counterparts to embed best practices
- Ensure operational readiness by defining systems, tools, and frameworks
- Engage with key stakeholders, including government bodies and regulators
- Develop and implement long-term Engineering and Maintenance strategies
- Act as the Intelligent Customer for work delivered by service providers
- Oversee competency framework development and training compliance
- Manage interfaces with key workstreams, including:
- Strategic and operational spares
- Obsolescence management
- Long-term service agreements
- Care and maintenance initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in engineering leadership, ideally within the nuclear or energy sector- Exceptional programme management skills for complex projects
- Collaborative mindset with ability to work across diverse teams
- Strong understanding of regulatory and statutory requirements in engineering and operations
