Position: Project Leader

Location: Northern Mozambique

Salary: €120,000 to €150,000 net

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Project Leader to oversee the construction of a significant marine facility in Northern Mozambique. This role involves establishing a framework for construction execution, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability, and collaborating with senior management to identify new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate project completion, adhering to client requirements, organisational policies, and budget constraints.

  • Manage third-party negotiations, including contractors and suppliers, throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Prepare and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with all requirements.

  • Validate technical, financial, and time-related contractual options.

  • Monitor financial aspects and budget control.

  • Engage in public relations to enhance company reputation.

  • Implement project budgets, enforce standards, manage team allocation, and prepare progress reports.

  • Build industry relationships to generate business opportunities.

  • Oversee training and development of project staff.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering (Construction or Architecture).

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in managing large-scale construction projects, particularly in civil or marine works.

  • Experience with jetties or quay walls is advantageous.

  • Proficient in claim handling and contract management (FIDIC).

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are beneficial.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
