Job Title: Project Director
Company Overview

Join a global engineering leader at the forefront of delivering the UK's most critical new infrastructure. We are a world-leading engineering and construction company, renowned for delivering the world's most complex and iconic infrastructure projects. As a key division of one of the largest global infrastructure development groups, we have a legacy of excellence built on a foundation of technical innovation and engineering prowess. Our portfolio is a testament to our ability to deliver large-scale, technically demanding projects safely, sustainably, and to the highest quality standards. When you join us, you're not just joining a project; you're joining a global team of experts dedicated to building a better future.

The Project
This is your chance to lead a landmark scheme set to redefine the future of healthcare facilities in the UK. This role is a crucial part of the New Hospital Programme (NHP), a once-in-a-generation government commitment to deliver 40 new, state-of-the-art hospitals by 2030.
You will be at the helm of delivering the 'Hospital 2.0' vision, a more innovative and more sustainable approach that utilises:

  • Modern Methods of Construction (MMC): Maximising the use of off-site manufacturing and pre-assembled components to improve quality, speed, and safety.
  • Standardisation: Using standardised designs and repeatable components across multiple hospital projects to drive efficiency and ensure consistent quality.
  • Digital by Default: Leveraging advanced digital tools like Building Information Modelling (BIM) from design through to operation.
  • Sustainability: A core commitment to delivering Net Zero Carbon facilities.

The Role
As the Project Director, you will provide the ultimate strategic leadership for this revolutionary programme. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of a large-scale, technically demanding project, with ultimate accountability for all construction activities. A key part of your role will be to foster a highly collaborative environment, serving as the primary liaison to manage relationships with the NHS Trust, government departments, and supply chain partners. You will solve complex challenges and inspire the team, ensuring the project is delivered safely, sustainably, and to the highest quality standards while championing this industry-wide transformation.

What We're Looking For
We are seeking a proactive and innovative Project Director who is passionate about driving change in the construction industry. You are motivated by the challenge of delivering complex projects with significant social value. The ideal candidate:
  • Is an ambitious leader with a proven track record of tackling the most complex engineering challenges.
  • Thrives in a highly collaborative environment , uniting diverse partners to achieve a common goal.
  • Possesses a strong technical mindset and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
  • Aspires to  shape the future of construction  and contribute to an industry-wide transformation.

Why Join Us?
This is purpose-driven work. You will lead the creation of a vital community asset that will enhance patient care and save lives for generations. This is a unique opportunity to gain unparalleled experience at the head of a high-profile, nation-building programme, backed by the resources and development opportunities of a leading global company.
