A leading construction and infrastructure company is seeking a Project Manager for their Nuclear New Build portfolio, focusing on innovative nuclear power projects such as Small Modular Reactors and Large Reactor Power Plants. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop high-demand skills in low-carbon power generation technologies, both in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans
- Support strategic direction and planning objectives of the Nuclear New Build programme
- Lead project teams and ensure timely, on-budget project completion
- Monitor progress and mitigate risks
- Communicate project status to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with nuclear industry regulations and safety standards
- Manage contracts and project documentation
- Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Conduct project reviews and implement improvements
- Maintain a lessons-learnt database
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a relevant field with a focus on nuclear construction- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the nuclear industry
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with nuclear industry regulations and standards (IAEA, ONR, NRC, DOE, BSI Standards, ASME codes)- Experience with project management methodologies (PRINCE2 or APM)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities and risk mitigation expertise
- Attention to detail and quality assurance

- Willingness to relocate within the UK and internationally- Ability to travel intermittently
