A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager with waste water expertise for an exciting opportunity in the South West region. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing early AMP8 projects for a major water company, focusing on Total Phosphorus reduction initiatives to meet new permit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management and delivery of complex projects under the water company's framework
  • Oversee health and safety, design, customer relations, quality, environmental aspects, programme, and costs during pre-production and production phases
  • Monitor progress of offsite and onsite operations against deadlines and budgets
  • Create a positive team culture to support improved wellbeing and performance
  • Implement and embed production line thinking and an "offsite first" philosophy

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational capabilities
  • Experience in pre-production and production project management in major projects (desirable)
  • Contract administration experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Understanding of MMC, Lean Construction, Agile Programme Management, and Production Thinking
  • Strong programme focus and resource planning abilities
  • Commercial acumen for accurate time and cost forecasting
  • BIM/digital experience (desirable)
  • Minimum HNC qualification in manufacturing/construction (desirable)
  • IT literacy (essential)
  • Professional qualification (desirable)
  • SMSTS safety qualification and relevant CSCS card (desirable)
  • Experience in a similar role within manufacturing or construction (desirable)
