A leading construction firm is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager for a Hospital/Healthcare Project in Halifax with other locations also considered. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with construction procurement experience to work on major projects in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop procurement strategies, policies and processes- Manage project procurement objectives and requirements
- Support tendering, market analysis and supplier selection
- Provide market intelligence, cost advice and supply chain performance management
- Lead a team of procurement professionals
- Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
Essential Skills and Experience
- Negotiation skills- Knowledge of legal and contracting law
- Risk and opportunity management
- Project procurement strategy development
- Supply chain planning
- Construction industry experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to deliver added value through procurement
Desirable Qualifications
- CIPS qualification or working towards it- Chartership in CIOB or RICS
